Apparently, a movie can record on your Vista Media Center but then simply refuse to play back. It’ll sit there, give you a movie poster, and take up drive space, but it won’t play.

3I wonder why they allow tivo to copy the shows but not windows? is it very easy to burn from windows media pc? of course i hear you can hack tivo and burn shows too, so theres no point. Question, can you use tivo and windows media pc at the same time to override this restriction?

5No. These are flags sent down by the broadcaster to specifically say “you can’t watch this on a computer.”

6It has to do with companys being all fretty that we are not paying for our movies. And if it were really up to the movie companys they would not allow any computer to view movies or watch tv at all; Plain and simple.
