1VGA output for HD? Sure if you want low quality HD. This is why DVI output from HDTVs is now included and is slowly becoming a standard.
As for this guide, it’s too much of a hassle. It’s not “that simple” as it’s said here.

2Here’s what you do on a Mac. Plug in the DVI monitor and… you’re done! The Mac will detect most modern speakers wirelessly and when you plugin any new monitor it’ll automatically configure it for best resolution and display (Mac’s can automatically determine the type of monitor being used).

5Windows can also detect monitors automatically. And actually, it is very simple.
Windows, however, only goes to the standard res. which is 1024×768. But anyone how is everyone can change it accordingly.
Oh and, screens that are capable of being used on a mac, have a extra chip designed to allow it to use a macs code and transmit data such as best res.

7I don;t see the point of yours, this video is about media center and tv, not connecting monitors, monitors on windows have been plug and play for years, lets not go down the road about how much macs suck with there proprietary hardware and that drm infested itunes, no games etc..I despise mac that is all! Open architecture is the best!

8And my comment was about Media Centers and TVs. As for Mac’s. I don’t believe Windows has an Open Source applications to it, Mac’s have several (including its BSD-base). As for no games, you are wrong. Mac’s can play any PC game via Crossover/Darwine. I have no idea why you despise the better operating system, but whatever. I’ll let you stick with crap.

10Very nice. I wish there can be something like this for dummies. I get confuse once I start hearing stuff like VGA, S video and all those other fancy code names.
