   Holy crap!!! Mine takes a minute. 17 secs for loading the OS not the whole thing. ONLY the whole thing takes a minute.

   mine booted quicker than that once, and then one day, it slowed right down to the bar passing 10 times for no reason!?!

   My Athlon 64 X2 4400 AM2 build boots up about the same speed as that.

   My Dell Latitude D505 boots in 32 seconds to firefox opening.

   Dude putting a computer on the internet doesn’t slow down your computer! Read a book or something! I hate ignorance…

   oh i saw it im in a machinery class and i had to take apart a tower and put it back together so it works again i saw how he did it

   what is the major influence on boot time? processor speed/cache? /ram?/hard drive?

   If you have XP on your machine, more than 1GB of RAM generally will not influence the boot-up speed. The primary bottleneck in modern computers (especially laptops) is the hard drive. When you see the hard drive light on constantly during bootup, obviously the hard drive is a huge bottleneck with bootup times.

    i think thats KINDA fast but not that fast !!!

    my pc REBOOTS and opens internet within 1:10
