Release Notes
CenterStage is a free Opensource project whose aim is to build a powerful and intuitive media center application for the Apple Macintosh.
Please note that this Demo material and all contents therein are used as a ‘marker’ of our final intentions and we will strive to get as close to that mark as possible when we hit the ‘Beta’ stage. It should only be considered a proof of concept at this time and may subsequently change as we progress. For more up to date information on our progress please visit our site (www.centerstageproject.com) and review the Current Progress Page and keep an eye on the latest News Page.
Developers Wanted
CenterStage needs your help: Developers are needed to move this project along. We have a vision (as the Demo and supporting material demonstrate), a goal, a plan and plenty of groundwork covered but we need your help to fully realise our target.
If you are a developer and are ready and willing to help please contact us via our website.
For more information please visit our Developers Advertisement Page or Download the Developers Starter Guide PDF from our site.
Movie Information
This Demo Material and online distribution of the Movie Demo, including all content (excluding selected resources of/and appropriate artwork) is published and maintained by a small Opensource community. The specifically created artwork and material for this Demo and contributing material is held under a creative commons license. However should you wish to redistribute the material in any way or in turn remix or adapt said material we would appreciate that you contact the CenterStage project before doing so.
This Demo and the Project (the CenterStage “project”) utilizes publicly available artwork as distributed by the following websites: Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, CD Covers & CD Covers.cc. All other artwork was an artistic recreation of publicly released material from film and music sites as provided by their respective publishers and companies.
Screenshot artwork features several screen captures of various movie distribution house films as a way of fully demonstrating the underlaying concept of the proposed CenterStage Media Center application.
Apple iTunes visualiser is featured and utilised as part of the projects integration with Apple Inc. software.
An ‘artistic’ recreation of the opening credits of the Back To The Future feature film, distributed by Universal Pictures is provided as part of the demo. This opening credit has been recreated in both Adobe Flash and Adobe Photoshop through careful font and artistic detail. This artistic recreation of said opening credits and material used in it’s recreation can be provided upon request.
It is not our intention to undermine movie, film, publishing houses, authors or associated persons in an effort to promote our project. If an party has issue or concerns regarding the material and distribution of said material please contact us immediately using our online contact form: http://centerstageproject.com/contact.php

1Unfortunately as the UI is black and ‘widescreen’ and with the YouTube background being black thigs look a little odd. For a high Quality demo and a Quicktime download (5x the image quality of YouTube) swing your browser over to: centerstageproject (dot) com
