billy didnt copy anybody…he was influenced by the beatles and elton john but he has his own unique style independent of anyone.

billy never copies anyone, he is better than elton john as a performer and songwriter, elton needs bernie taupin to write the lyrics, but elton is great, billy is just better to watch on stage. i went to see billy and elton do the face to face tour with a friend who did not like billy joel that much but was a massive elton fan, and after the show even he had to admit that billy was alot better..
